Is there a minimum subscription period or limitation on upgrade or downgrade of subscription types?
You can downgrade or upgrade your account at any time, however in the case of a downgrade in subscription it will take place at the end of your currently monthly billing period. Upgrades take effect immediately.
What is 'Software as a Service'? Are there any period version upgrade fees or are there equipment/hosting services I need to purchase?
Software as a Service (SaaS) is a concept more akin to rental of software rather than outright purchase. In the case of Avancert.com the platform is hosted by us,
with all access via a standard web browser. So even though we upgrade and add new features all the time there is nothing for you to install - its all included and new
features are simply available as they are released.

What is an AMS? Does Avancert have AMS and LMS functionality?
AMS stands for Assessment Management System, and allows for the management of all aspects for assessment delivery. Avancert.com includes not only a full Assessment Management System,
but also a full Assessment Authoring and Question Bank environment allowing you create examinations and assessments. Avancert is designed to augment (rather than replace) many types of LMS (Learning Management System),
with full examination management and 'high stakes' examination delivery functionality. Avancert is primarily designed around assessment, where an LMS is designed to assist learning and will only
have basic quiz functionality not suitable for use in a formal examination or assessment process.
What is an API?
API stands for Application Programming Interface. Depending on which subscription type you have the API feature may be available, and if so it allows you (with the help
of a software developer) to integrate Avancert.com functionality with other systems you may have. Examples of this include integration with a Learning Management System (LMS)
so that student details are automatically shared between the two systems.
